Bruceshaw are a leading construction consultancy specialising in project and cost management, quantity surveying, management services and construction design management. They have offices in London, Belfast, Glasgow and Manchester.
Bruceshaw contacted us at a time of considerable change for them. Their London and Belfast branches were separating from the Ireland part of the business, and required a new visual identity to forge ahead with post-division.
As part of our in-depth branding process we spoke with Bruceshaw staff, spent time at their London and Belfast offices, and engaged with their external stakeholders. We identified variations between their branches, but also some overlapping traits.
The company’s trusted and reliable reputation was something that really stood out for us and was mentioned everywhere we went. With many other brands in their industry lacking a focussed message, we knew that a consistent ethos for Bruceshaw was a must.
We wanted to inject some personality and creativity into this large, corporate organisation – something more reflective of the true nature of their business. Based on our findings, we chose ‘Building relationships’ for Bruceshaw’s new strapline, which we combined with an intentionally simple, clean and clear brand visualisation using a vibrant orange and a strong navy blue – colours developed from the original Bruceshaw logo. The concept is modern and dynamic, yet controlled. It gives the effect of Bruce Shaw being assured, modern, and forward-thinking.
